Amsterdam (road trip stop over city no.2)

I don’t remember much about my Amsterdam visit, I blame the ‘space cake’ and the random things I inhaled while we went to this coffee shop ;), oh well, it had to be crossed off the list 🙂 Anyways, this was our city no.2 after Rotterdam as part of our Europe road trip in 2013 (Rotterdam- Amsterdam- Brussels–Bruges) and we spent one night here. It was a great crew and lots of memories to cherish :). I honestly don’t remember much about specific sites in the city as it was a while go but I remember beautiful canals, a lot of walking and of course a lot of giggling!! Ever since I read the diary of Anne Frank, I wanted to see her house in Amsterdam. I also wish to see the Tulips when its in full bloom and the beautiful villages outside Amsterdam, so I am hoping to visit the city again sometime in the coming years…

The few things we have done are: tried the famous herring from a herring cart, visited local shops and markets, been to a coffee shop, seen the Infamous street, tasted few beers and Gelato, enjoyed the beautiful canal side walks (we did the canal ride in Bruges), seen the Royal Palace.

How to cross the English Channel from Dover (UK) to Calais (France- Europe)

Dover to Calais is the shortest and easiest way to go to France if you are driving from UK to Europe. You can use either of the following two options:
