Opening times:

Open till dusk during summer.

It is a lovely place for a stroll close to the Southsea beach. Apparently there are 40 varieties of roses in here but please visit the place in June or July when the roses are in full bloom. Even if it is close to the seafront and busy road, it is guarded by the walls hence protected from all the wind and noise coming from the seafront. It is really quiet and peaceful and there are plenty of seats available where you can either sit back and enjoy the roses or read a book. There are pathways among the rose beds so you can walk around and enjoy each section of colours and scent of the roses. If the sun is shining, capture some amazing pictures too!
